Open Listings
Open Listings is an online property listing database application designed for real estate agencies
that need a system that can manage rentals and sales of their properties and post available properties to their website. With
Open Listings, an agent or realtor can log in, add new listings, search and browse listings, and post choice properties
to their website. Various fields of data are stored for each listing, including address, landlord information, lease information,
property description, agency notes, photo gallery and many more!
Features: In depth property criteria is stored with each realty listing, for both sales and rentals.
Users can add an unlimited amount of photos for each listing, and realty listings can store the closing agent and the amount
of commission granted. Individual real estate agents can track their own sales and commissions, and administrators can view a
breakdown of agent sales and rentals for their entire agency. Each listing can be posted to their website with a simple
click of a checkbox. Comprehensive search and browse functions are available for both sales and rentals.
Open Listings is administered through any standard
web browser, and secure SSL/https implementation is supported. Publically viewable listings require
no login to site visitors, and are stripped down "safe" summaries of the properties (omitting landlord and precise
addresses). Each publically displayed listing links to a contact form which generates mail to choice agents, notifying
them of the inquiry about this property.
Integrates well with Mapquest; agents and visitors can click on a link to view map and directions. Printer-friendly
version is available for each listing or return of search results. Customizable areas, number of bedrooms, and property
types appear in a dropdown, for quick data entry and browsing. PDF export support is optional.
Requirements: This software package consists of several Perl scripts, and requires the Image Magick
Perl Module for photo resizing and rotating, and the PDF::Reuse Perl Module for optional PDF Export. It is designed to
run on the Apache web server with Perl 5 and can install into any available MySQL database. A PHP version of the public
listings script is recommended for quicker integration and quicker seach results for your website visitors.
Unix/Linux OS are supported and recommended. An online working demo are in the works, so please
